A prestigious US law firm in Brussels is on the lookout for a seasoned partner specializing in international trade law to join their ranks. The ideal candidate will have a book of business and a proven track record in the field of international trade law. You will be able to provide strategic and technical advice to clients on a wide range of trade-related matters.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on complex international trade law issues, including trade sanctions, customs regulations, and trade remedies
- Negotiate and draft international trade agreements, including free trade agreements and investment treaties
- Represent clients in trade litigation cases before national and international courts and tribunals
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and other key stakeholders in the international trade community
Profile
- A minimum of 10 years of experience practicing international trade law
- Strong knowledge of trade litigation and EU trade law
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, additional languages are a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
